While out in Chicago I got to check two more stadiums off my list. One being US Cellular Field home of the Chicago White Sox located in the South side of Chicago.
The park opened for the 1991 season, after the White Sox had spent 81 years at the original Comiskey Park so it’s a bit more modern then its cross town rival, Wrigley(second oldest park in baseball).
Took the Red Line down there early to stop by the oldest bar(food establishment)in Chi-town for some lunch and history at Schaller’s Pump before the ol’ ballgame…
Still off the sauce, but a soda and bitters has been workin’ well…
The owner just passed a couple months ago and we got to hear all about the place from his son…
That post Schaller’s Pump smile…
Then a short walk over to the new Comiskey…
Damn, Giants have that many in five years…
Tailgating without the gate…
Saw as many A’s fans as I do in Oakland…
Found out it was also super hero day…
The OG homeplate remains in the parking lot—Comiskey Park R.I.P.
Went after a fly ball on our way in to the park… PHOTO: Camisa
Panoramic wise…
Token mascot shot…
I’m telling you, the Green and Yellow came out for this one…
A walk through the row of eats…
Shoeless Joe wise…
Giants fans everywhere…
Wanna see what’s in that helmet?
Did I mention it was Super Hero Night?
So much excitement in the stands…
Lil Hulk, they should have got Lou Ferrigno to throw out the first pitch…
Wait, what—oh Ferrigno you didn’t?!?!?
Super hero wise—Who wore it better???
“what so proudly we hailed…”
Then for the big moment, the incredible Ferrigno gearin’ up Gaylord style…
Here’s the windup and…
Look at that form…
Peace out all you hulk-a-maniacs…
Time for another panoramic…
Quick view from the downstairs bar that looks through the visiting teams bullpen…
“Hey, have you ever heard of Harold Baines?”
Yup, Baines is immortalized…
Comiskey…
The big hurt…
Then Sharal ran into a pickle(with the tag)…
Fisk!
“GIANTS PUTO!!!”
Boom!!! Photo: Camisa
Nothing a little ice cream wouldn’t fix…
Who ate it better???
Step right up, who needs a shower?
“Can someone hold my brew?”
Music please…
That shit went viral for sure…
Full moon makes people cray…
Another stadium checked off the list—Oh #FUCKYEAH
