After a full day of Indie Mart down at Thee Parkside, it was time to take it indoors for the rock of Orchid, Lecherous Gaze, and Hot Lunch...

Beerspit's 5th issue got launched into reality at El Rio Saturday. It was far from a regular afternoon over there with Hightower kicking it off followed by Lecherous Gaze, Hot Lunch and Black Cobra. Epic zine, epic party, with epic people and they even let the bands play outside. If you weren't there, you definitely missed out. Cheers to Josie who keeps putting out good stuff, can't wait for number 6!!!

 
Hot Lunch was billed to play with legendary McRad over at Thee Parkside last night. At the last minute McRad got a little scared and cancelled. At first, I was bummed and couldn't figure it all out, but alas it made complete sence. They got intimidated by the opening act. Yes, it was the band formerly known as Handlebars (Vanishing Breed) first ever live gig...

If my calculations are correct. Hot Lunch has officially lapped Hightower here on the Trife. There second post in just over a week. The big question is, will Hightower retaliate...
